STANDARD & ATEX EX MOTORS
Standard and ATEX (Atmosphères Explosibles) motors are designed for use in different environments, with ATEX motors specifically certified for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. The operating principle of both types of motors involves converting electrical energy into mechanical energy through electromagnetic induction. When current flows through the motor windings, it creates a magnetic field that interacts with the rotor, causing it to rotate and generate mechanical power. ATEX motors are constructed with enhanced safety features, such as explosion-proof enclosures and components, to prevent ignition in hazardous environments. Standard motors are suitable for general industrial applications where explosive atmospheres are not a concern.
