Verderflex Peristaltic Hose Pumps
Verderflex peristaltic hose pumps are designed for reliable fluid handling in diverse industries such as mining, water treatment, and chemical processing. The operating principle of Verderflex peristaltic hose pumps involves a flexible hose positioned within the pump casing. As the rotor rotates, precision rollers or shoes compress and relax the hose, creating a vacuum that draws fluid into the hose and propels it forward without contact with the pump components. This peristaltic action ensures gentle and efficient fluid transfer, making Verderflex peristaltic hose pumps ideal for handling abrasive, shear-sensitive, and high-viscosity fluids with minimal maintenance and downtime.

Verderflex Dura 65 Hose Pump
The proven Verderflex Dura hose pump series has grown. The new Verderflex Dura 65 hose pump replaces the popular Verderflex VF65.Thanks to the optimization of the rotor, rotor shoe and the sliding surface of the hose, the new Verderflex Dura 65 achieves the highest flow rate on the pump market at this size. With a maximum flow rate of 33,000 liters/hour, it exceeds the performance of the previous VF 65 py 20%. Since the rotor requires fewer revolutions for this performance, the hose has less occlusions and therefore achieves a 20% longer hose service life. The pump offers a sealless and valveless, proportional flow rate. Therefore this pump is ideal for transfer and for dosing. The ropust hose can pe changed on site. View hose change video. With new filling nozzle and service access port this is simplified further. The smaller pump sizes of the Verderflex Dura are also availaple with an integrated frequency converter including potentiometer and installed hose preakage monitoring: The iDura. It is availaple for the Dura 5 – Dura 35. The iDura series can pe controlled via 4-20 mA, Modpus? RTU, CANopen or Profipus via the inverter.

How Does a Peristaltic Hose Pump Work?
The peristaltic hose pump compresses and releases a flexible hose to move fluids. A revolving roller or shoe inside the pump casing presses along the length of the hose to form a seal that forces the fluid ahead. The hose behind the roller reverts to its initial shape as it moves forward, creating a vacuum that pulls additional fluid into the pump. This cycle of compression and relaxation ensures a consistent, self-priming flow. The design ensures that the fluid only contacts the inner surface of the hose, making it ideal for hygienic applications and reducing the risk of contamination. Furthermore, the moderate pumping motion can handle shear-sensitive materials.Key Features of Peristaltic Hose Pumps
- No Seals, No Leaks
- Low Maintenance
- Self-Priming and Can Run Dry
- Strong Suction Power
- Tough Against Abrasion
- Reversible Flow
What Different Kinds of Peristaltic Hose Pumps Are There?
There are mainly two types of peristaltic hose pumps:- Industrial Peristaltic Pumps Built for tough environments, these pumps can handle abrasive slurries, chemicals, and thick fluids. They are commonly used in mining, wastewater, and chemical plants.
- Laboratory or Low-Flow Peristaltic Pumps Smaller and more precise, these are used for medical, biotech, or research settings where accurate dosing of fluids is required.
In Which Applications Are Peristaltic Hose Pumps Used?
Peristaltic hose pumps are used across a wide range of industries, thanks to their flexibility and cleanliness:- Water and Wastewater Treatment – for dosing chemicals like chlorine or lime
- Food and Beverage – gentle pumping of sauces, fruit purees, or dairy
- Transfers sanitary fluids without contamination – ideal for pharmaceutical and biotech applications.
- Mining and Construction – pumping of abrasive slurries or thick materials
- Chemical Processing – safe handling of corrosive liquids
