Are Viking gear pumps reversible?

Yes, many Viking gear pumps can operate in both directions. This is beneficial for applications involving fluid recovery, tank emptying, or backflushing.

What maintenance is required for Viking gear pumps?

Routine maintenance includes checking for wear on gears and bushings, inspecting seals and gaskets, lubricating bearings if required, and ensuring there is no product buildup inside the pump.

Can Viking gear pumps handle abrasive or corrosive fluids?

Yes, with the correct material selection (e.g., stainless steel, hardened gears), Viking gear pumps can be used for fluids containing abrasives or corrosive chemicals. Always verify compatibility with the fluid to avoid premature wear.

What are Viking pumps used for?

Viking pumps are versatile internal gear pumps used for transferring a wide range of fluids, including oils, resins, chemicals, and viscous materials. They’re ideal for industries like food, chemical, and energy processing.

Are Viking pumps suitable for handling thick or viscous fluids?

Yes, Viking pumps are specifically designed to handle high-viscosity fluids efficiently. Their internal gear mechanism provides smooth, consistent flow even with heavy or abrasive liquids.

How do Viking pumps ensure leak-free operation?

Viking pumps use advanced sealing technologies and precision-machined components to minimise leaks. This ensures safe, clean, and reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

What maintenance do Viking pumps require?

Viking pumps are built for low maintenance with minimal moving parts. Routine inspections, lubrication, and occasional seal or gear replacements are usually sufficient for long-term performance.
