Blagdon Pump makes a very efficient and technically effective range of Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps. Available in a range of metals, plastics and composites, the pumps can be used with liquids with a very large range of viscosities - all the way from 0.3 to 2,000,000 cP.
Blagdon pump is a self-priming pump for up to 6m. It can be used over and underground and is a fully submersible pump. The Blagdon is a very safe pump for hazardous areas. The Blagdon AODs work in both Permanent and Portable options.
Pump duties include but not limited to, Liquid Transfer, Slurry Handling, Filter Feeding, Circulation, De-Watering, Low Pressure, Spray Supply, Tank/Sump/Barrell/Drum filling and emptying, Batching, Mixing, Metering, Dosing and chemical injection.
A full list of chemicals, paints, adhesives, resins and elastomers is available upon request.
Benefits of a Blagdon Air Operated Diaphragm Pump over a gear pump or impeller pump.
Why would I require a Blagdon air operated diaphragm pump instead of a gear pump or impeller pump?
Blagdon Pump's range offers a combination of unique features which can tackle several application challenges in one go. Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps are excellent at handling difficult liquids at low pressures and flows. The range of applications is virtually limitless. Blagdon AODD pumps come in a variety of sizes, with many choices of materials of construction. Almost every type of liquid from highly corrosive acids through to high viscosity paints and adhesives, to food and drink, can be pumped using the Blagdon Air Operated Diaphragm pumps.
Advantages of using an Air Operated Diaphragm Pump
Driven by compressed air from a compressor and does not need a direct electrical power supply.
Speed/flow rate is easy to control by simply restricting the air flow into the pump.
Patented airside design reduces the risk of stalling when running at very low speeds.
Can be dead-headed without any risk of damage to the pump.
Self Priming by nature.
A valve on the discharge line can be used to throttle the pump, effectively resulting in a remote control.
Chemically resistant, food grade and FDA approved Pharma Grade Hygienic versions available.
The pump can process some small solids - up to 6mm diameter depending on the pump size.
These pumps are generally lighter and smaller than electrically driven pumps of the same capacity
Models B15, B25 and B50 in polished stainless steel are Pharmaceutical and Food Grade pumps. The air chamber materials are Nickel Plated Aluminium and Stainless Steel with EPDM (including Food Grade), Santoprene, PFTE and Viton Diaphragm materials. Max flow of 901 l/m and a maximum operating pressure of 6.9 bar. Can pump solids up to 18mm diameter.
